Matielyn Jones is an educator, advocate, and organizer with a passion for civics, public policy, and empowering people to be involved in decisions made for their local communities. She is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Master of Science degree in Social Foundations of Education.
Matielyn joins Blue Level Training with broad professional experience in human learning and behavior, program development, and organizational leadership. Her accomplishments include implementing a global, organization-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion program; developing a community engagement ministry; writing curriculum for a government-sponsored adult learning pilot; working on a presidential campaign; and running for public office. As a former social studies teacher, Matielyn recognizes the power of history and storytelling in identity formation, socialization, and collective agency. She hopes to inspire leaders to address systemic and structural barriers in the workplace and to pursue equity (always).
Matielyn is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She lives in Buford, Georgia with her husband and their two handsome sons.
